HIGHLIGHTS
With passion, hard work, and the bonds of family, Jacob van der Schaaf and his daughter, Angela Santiago began growing their first acre of Creamer potatoes on a small one-acre plot just outside of Edmonton, Alberta. Together, they formed The Little Potato Company and quickly expanded across Canada. With such great success in the Canadian market, they came to us hoping to expand their brand awareness and sales lift within the American market – particularly in the East and West Coasts. Additionally, they were looking for digital evergreen content that could be repurposed and continue to live on their own site.
We understand that when it comes to cooking and following a recipe, it is easier to have it visualized. This is why we decided to collaborate with Real Simple to produce 3 custom recipe videos that were promoted natively as ads on their website as well as socially through Real Simple’s social handles. This gave The Little Potato Company custom content that could be seamlessly integrated on their website as well as a way for new audiences to discover their product through Real Simple’s website. Additionally, we also included a full-page print insert with a unique coupon in an issue of Real Simple to further generate brand awareness among the American market. The unique coupon within the full-page magazine insert served as a way to track direct sales.
Potatoes were once celebrated as the “truffles of the earth”, and it is The Little Potato Company’s mission to reverse the boring and bland potato image back to its former glory. We saw some incredible engagement rates with this campaign, and we are honoured to be part of this mission. Needless to say, the numbers speak for themselves.
